AI Features & Third-Party Data Processing
Google Gemini AI Integration
When you use our AI-powered typing test generator, your requests are processed by Google Gemini AIthrough Google Cloud Platform. Here's what happens to your data:
- Your AI prompts (topics, preferences, settings) are sent to Google's Gemini API
- Google processes these requests to generate typing test content
- We receive the AI-generated text and store it in our database (Europe-based)
- ZenType does not use your AI prompts or generated content for any other purpose
⚠️ Important: Google's AI Data Processing
While ZenType only uses your AI data to provide the Service, Google may process your AI requests according to their own policies, including:
- Service improvement and quality control
- AI model training and refinement (depending on your Google account settings)
- Compliance with their Gemini API Terms and Google Privacy Policy
ZenType is not responsible for how Google processes AI data. If you have concerns about Google's use of your AI prompts, please review their privacy policies or avoid using AI features.
Firebase Analytics & Google Cloud Services
We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud Platform services (analytics, hosting, storage) which means Google has access to certain operational and usage data as our service provider. This is governed by:
- Our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Google Cloud
- Firebase Privacy and Security policies
- GDPR-compliant Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
What ZenType Does NOT Do
- ❌ We do not train our own AI models on your data
- ❌ We do not sell your AI prompts or generated content to third parties
- ❌ We do not share your AI data with anyone other than Google (as the API provider)
- ❌ We do not use your typing test results or personal data for advertising
Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Data Retention
Active Account Data: Retained while your account is active
Deleted Account Data: Permanently deleted within 24 hours
Logs: Retained for 90 days for security purposes
